I am excited to announce our latest staff addition to The Forestland Group team. Tommie Herbert joined us in March as our Director of Investor Relations. Tommie will be responsible for new product development, investor outreach, and relationship management. Her background includes a combination of conservation finance, forestry, and ecosystem markets research. Tommie graduated from the Yale School of Forestry & Environmental Studies with a M.F. in Silviculture and Forest Finance in addition to holding an undergraduate degree from Vanderbilt University in Human & Organizational Development. Most recently, she served as the National Conservation Finance Lead at the USDA Forest Service headquarters in Washington D.C. Tommie’s experience in the areas of climate finance, conservation, and impact investing builds upon our unique expertise in managing natural forest systems and expands upon our ability to deliver innovative forest finance and climate change solutions to a broader range of stakeholders. Tommie will be working with Benjie Tarbutton, our current VP of Investor Relations, as he will be transitioning out of his investor relations position by the end of the year. Benjie will be missed in that full time role, but we are happy to report that he will remain engaged with The Forestland Group as an advisory member of our executive team.
