Anderson-Tully Company (ATCO) sale to The Nature Conservancy and State of Mississippi

Feb 5, 2019

The Nature Conservancy and State of Mississippi are proud to announce the acquisition of approximately 17,816 acres in Issaquena and Warren Counties from Anderson-Tully Company (ATCO). The Conservancy and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries and Parks (MDWFP) have partnered on the project, made possible through a federal grant and private donations. The partners found the opportunity to acquire the property appealing because of ATCO’s commitment to land stewardship and high-quality forest and wildlife management, among other factors.

As part of the acquisition, the Conservancy agreed to take on nearly 7,000 acres of the property, which will be transitioned to the MDWFP in the coming years. Click here to read more.
