Mike Hincher will serve as Chair of the Advisory Board

Effective April 13, 2016 and continuing for a two-year term,  Mike Hincher will serve as Chair of the Advisory Board for the Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation Department of the College of Natural Resources and Environment at Virginia Tech.   Mike, Senior Vice President – Operations, is a 1988 graduate of Virginia Tech.

The purpose of the Advisory Board is to provide advice and support to the Forest Resources and Environmental Conservation Department.  Specifically, the Advisory Board brings knowledge of trends and issues in the forest-resource-based professions and provides insight to the Department that will keep forestry and related curricula current.  In addition, the Advisory Board provides guidance on proposed strategies of the Department.   Finally. The Advisory Board serves as an advocate for the Department to potential students, the College of Natural Resources and Environment, the University, the Virginia legislature and the general public.
